Got questions? We've got answers. Email us at support@unitcontainerdepot.com if you don't see what you're looking for.

What sizes of containers do you carry?
We carry 10ft, 20ft, and 40ft standard containers, as well as high-cube versions with extra height (9'6"). We also offer specialty containers including open-top, flat-rack, and refrigerated units.
What's the difference between a new and used container?
New (one-trip) containers are in near-perfect condition, used once to ship goods from overseas. Used containers are graded A, B, or C based on condition. All containers we sell are inspected before delivery.
Are the containers waterproof?
Yes. Our Grade A and B containers are wind-and-watertight (WWT certified). Grade C containers are structurally sound but may have minor surface rust β€” we'll always tell you the exact condition upfront.
How heavy are containers?
An empty 20ft container weighs approximately 4,800 lbs (2.2 tons). A 40ft container weighs around 8,000 lbs (3.6 tons). This is important for your site preparation.
How does delivery work?
We use tilt-bed trucks that slide the container off the back directly onto your property β€” no crane or forklift needed on your end. You need clear access and roughly 60ft of straight clearance for a 20ft container (100ft for a 40ft).
How long does delivery take?
Standard delivery is 3–7 business days from your order date. Extended areas may take 8–14 days. We'll confirm your estimated delivery date when you place your order.
Do I need to be home for delivery?
Ideally yes, so you can direct the driver to the exact placement spot. Your driver will call 30 minutes before arrival. If you can't be present, leave clear written instructions.
Do you deliver outside Oregon?
Yes! We deliver across the United States. Delivery times and costs will vary for out-of-state locations. Contact us for a custom quote for your state.
Is delivery free?
Delivery is FREE on orders over $5,000! For smaller orders, we charge a flat-rate delivery fee based on distance. We'll always quote you the full price before you commit.
How much does a container cost?
Prices vary by size, condition, and location. Used 20ft containers start around $2,000–$3,500; new 20ft containers start around $4,500–$6,000. 40ft containers typically $3,500–$8,000. Contact us for a precise quote.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept credit/debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex), bank transfer (ACH), and check. We also offer financing options through our lending partners.
Can I rent instead of buy?
Yes! We offer monthly container rentals starting at $100/month depending on size and location. Minimum rental period is 1 month. Delivery and pickup are included.
Can you add doors and windows to my container?
Absolutely. We offer full modification services including personnel doors, roll-up doors, windows, electrical, insulation, flooring, HVAC, and more. Get a free modification quote when you contact us.
How long do modifications take?
Simple modifications (adding a door or window) typically take 3–5 business days. Full interior conversions (office or home builds) can take 4–8 weeks depending on complexity.
